Bio
As someone who loves the medium of video games and believes in the power of play, it's exciting to live in an era with unprecedented accessibility to games, no matter who you are.
I've always wanted to be a game developer and my path took me through seven cities, degrees in Economics and 3D Art and a number of industries before getting my start in 2010 as a game designer.
I've come to really love data-driven iteration and live-service, as a way to build a long-term relationship between the studio and players, giving players joy while still meeting business goals in a sustainable way. I love analytics and I believe player data is a designer superpower!
As the gaming landscape continues to shift - with new platforms, new technologies and new I'm excited to continue to evolve as a designer, learning new skills and taking on new design challenges!
Design Philosophy
Learn - Stay curious. Understand the problem before designing. Who is our player? What are our constraints? What are our design priorities? Why this solution?
Data-Driven - Data is a designer superpower. Balance creativity and fun with data and business needs. Use player data, competitive analysis and market trends to guide decisions.
Iteration - Design for long-term sustainability. Validate assumptions and iterate. Test often and learn.
Collaboration - No ego. Good ideas come from anywhere. Leadership through support and empathy.
