Small Tree Media was a game and app development company based in Chengdu, China.
At Small Tree Media, I led and mentored a team of designers, contributed design work to numerous projects - from casual puzzle games to live-service games to children's apps. For many projects, I was hands-on, taking them from concept to launch to, possibly, live ops with very short production timelines.
Some of the valuable skills I learned at STM include:
• Researching and designing for different markets and demographics.
• Rapidly prototyping, testing core loops and executing design concepts.
• Building game systems, mechanics and in-game economies.
I also contributed additional duties, leading a small design team, mentoring junior designers and serving as our department's de facto art director.
